Who has heard of the game company "Out of the Box"? They created Apples to Apples before it was sold to Mattel. Robby served his mission in the area where one of the owners lives. He came to Germany for business and took Robby with him. But they spent several evenings with us. And we got to play the games. It was so much fun. I can't wait to share them with my family when we move.
The great thing about these games is that they are so quick and easy to learn and they don't last for hours. They are great for parties and FHEs. They create conversation too, which is a big bonus too.
The first one we played was Word on the Street. Jared and I won. We are good!!!! I love that with all of these games we have fun and spend so much time laughing.
There is Brother Waller...the man himself. The kids especially loved Shake and Take...plus it teaches good manners. Sorry no picture of that one.
My favorite by far was this one:
Faux-cabulary!!! You are given a definition and 3 dice (that have 6 word fragments on them) with these dice you create a word for that definition. Then the Word Meister picks the best one. Each player get a turn to be the word meister. I was laughing so hard my sides started to hurt.
Click on the pictures to read what is one the dice and the cards. We have intigrated some of the words chosen during in the game into our family venacular (sp?).
