Fairy Tales

This past 2 weeks Anne and Alicia performed fairy tales in their preschool classes. They have been practicing and were so excited.

Anne is such a good helper. She kept moving props that weren't put in the right places. In this picture though she was moving something she was supposed to.  They did a fairy tale about a magic pot, a girl and a prince.  Anne got to play the mother.  I was so proud.  Jared and Gma also got to be there.  She was so excited.

Alicia's play was Rose Red and Snow White...one of my favorites.  She got to play Rose Red. She did so good and again I was so proud.

That little boy standing by Alicia was the prince her character married. I have noticed that this little boy has a crush on Alicia, it has been so cute to watch.  And the funny thing is that she is so oblivious to it, and I am glad.

My Baby is 6 Years Old

Anne started out the day in preschool with cupcakes for her class.  She got this cute crown there and wore it all day.

Before dinner she got to have some special time with her dad, while I made dinner. She requested spaghetti and I was happy it was something so simple.
Of course, no family event is complete without a goofy picture of Jared.
Uncle Richy called on skype (Jared's phone) to wish Anne a happy birthday. Thanks to modern technology he also got to watch her open her gifts.

She was so excited about each of her gifts and the card she got from Aunt Kari and cousins.
Anne and Alicia we shopping with Jared a couple weeks ago and saw these Hello Kitty cakes and knew that is what they wanted for their birthdays. So that is what we got her. I love the festive, colorful candles.

As you can see, she was excited  about it.
We ended the evening with the candy game, per her request. I think she loved her special day.

Party Week

We got invited to Marco's birthday. It was wonderful to see some old friends again that we don't see much anymore.  Happy Birthday Marco!!!

The next day we went to a costume party for the primary kids in our stake.

Katie's costume made me smile each time I looked at it. We got the outfit from Rachel and David when Anne was little, but we never had a chance to use it until now and I was so excited. Katie LOVES Pooh Bear, so she was a very happy girl. We referred to her as Pooh Bear the rest of the afternoon.
I got her dressed and sent her down to show Bahnka. She came back up with a pillow stuffed into her costume.  Gpa completed the look well for her.

Here are the rest of the representatives for our branch. I sure love these kids and am so glad I get to be with them in primary.
We took the opportunity to try everyone's accessories on Hyrum. He was a good sport and even seemed to enjoy it. He loved walking around, being Mr. Independent.  Katie didn't even want to sit with us during lunch.  She sat on the other side of the cultural hall. Good thing her costume was so easy to spot. She is such an independent one herself.
These two are best friends.  Lara is always such a big help to me and I am going to miss her when we move.
This family had to funnest costumes of all. Not shown are the other boy and girl they have, who were also attired to coordinate.  I think I need to get Jared ones of those Superman outfits and me a Supergirl one.

Tidbits

Wow, it has been a long time since I emptied my computer.  Here are some pictures of what we have been up to.

This is a local bakery that bakes bread the old-fashioned way. It is owned by a family and I have wanted to get some bread there for a couple years.  It was wonderful!  They were so friendly and I loved supporting the local farmers.  I also bought some honey made by a farmer in our village.

We decorated for Valentine's. We even made some heart snowflakes that I forgot to get a picture of.  The end of January finally brought us our first real snow this winter.  It has stayed since and we are getting more.  I guess we are in for a late, harsh winter.
These two look like jail-birds together in these shirts.
Robby was doing really well at getting those hips flowing doing the kung-fu on the Wii.
Katie loved beating him at the swordplay.
We stopped giving her naps in an effort to curb her midnight parties.  Sometimes it is just too much for her.
Hyrum loves playing peek-a-boo.  Sometimes his hands done't quite make it over his eyes.
This boy gets the most attention out of anyone in the family.

Katie Turns 3

Happy Birthday, Little girl!!!
We celebrated with with the Schulz family.
And Uncle Oli. He was a miracle worker at getting Hyrum to eat table food instead of jarred food. He has no problems after that. Thanks!!!!
The kids watched some "Shaun the Sheep", Katie's favorite at the time (now she is into Pooh Bear).  If you haven't seen any Shaun the Sheep you need to, they are so clever.
This was her gift from the Schulzes. Marco decorated the wrapping himself.
Katie got this baby carrier from her Gma and Gpa. She loves it!!!
Sara made these adorable owl cupcakes. I love them.

Her Benjamin Blümchen cake!!!
