Girls Just Wanna Have FUN!!!

Peek-a-boo, Anne!! These girls have the best grandparents. The other day, to help us while we were unpacking from our move, they took our girls to the park.
You wouldn't know it from this picture but I was told that Alicia LOVED this slide and would go up and down all by herself. Anne was a bit more hesitant about it.

My little pirates. Isn't this the best park. I need to go with them next time and see it myself.

From the pictures it looks like they loved this teeter-totter. They must get it from their mother. This was always my favorite part in a park.

All About Katie

Just like her Mommy!!
She fell asleep with her legs up against her chest as if she was sitting and just fell over asleep. And she learned how to crawl today. She has been scooting-half crawling for a couple weeks now. I am so proud of my little girl.

New Hair Cut

This is what we found when we got home from church on Sunday.
All we can figure is that she cut it sometime in Nursery. I knew this day was coming. Luckily, I had prepared myself for it.

Making Pizza

I just wanted to get my wife in one of these blogs as well! Here we are making Pizza with our girls!

I love how Kristin's shirt says "I am the Boss, and everyone can have MY opinion!" How true, how true!

The Girls love to help whenever we do something in the kitchen! Especially when they can get some food in the process!

FHE at the Swimming Pool

I learned some fun things about my kids yesterday during Family Home Evening. Anne loves to play in the water, but Alicia doesn't. At least there is one way that Alicia is not like her dad and more like me. But the older Anne gets the more we notice how much she is like her daddy.

We had to wait for a bit for a storm to pass and near the end another storm hit. But we managed to have fun between the rainy moments. We went with our friends, the Schulz family.

Anne loved everything in the pool and had so much fun. There was lots of giggling and laughing from her. Alicia actually went down the slide, but once was enough for her. Not for Anne though.

This is how Alicia looked most of the time. Just standing out and watching. That is my way of swimming too. I like wading, but not swimming.

She wasn't a fan of this pelican, as you can see.

Now this was what Alicia loved. Anne enjoyed it but liked the pool more. Alicia kept going back to this. It is just like a dam system.

And here is our little daredevil. It makes me nervous, but he loves it.

Here is a video of Jared's dive. The dive starts immediately, so just be prepared. I would give him a 9.8 just for splash.

Playdate

Today was a very fun day. We had a playdate with some kids in the ward. So we got everyone ready and packed up. The girls loved being in a new environment and playing with new toys and new people.
Playdough was a big hit. I love the colors of Anne's "pie".
Katie was content to sit back and watch all the goings on.

The little boy's room looked like a war zone after they were done. This gives just a tiny idea what it was like.

I think the sandbox was the most love toy. They squeezed themselves into it.

And of course, running around and being silly was also on the agenda.
We mothers enjoyed talking, relaxing and watching the kids having so much fun together. This is definitely another must do.

Morning Swim

This morning, in the midst of a highly stressful situation, Beate called and asked if we wanted to go swimming with her. I am not a fan of swimming, but knew the girls needed to get out of the house and have a change of pace and scenery. So I ran around frantically getting the girls dressed and everything needed gathered. I never found Alicia's swimsuit so she just wore a swim diaper and a tank-top. My swimsuit doesn't fit so I just left my shirt on over it. Katie stayed with her Grandpa.

The water was so cold that Alicia was content to sit on the step and watch a butterfly on the pavement. She is not as daring as Anne is.

Now, Anne didn't like the cold water. But she went in anyway. She loved the slide. Gma would catch her at the bottom. She would slow herself down to a stop at the bottom and Gma would just pick her up off the slide. Just once did she go down full speed and fly into Gma's arms.
We also sat in the kiddie pool and splashed each other.

And of course, no trip to the pool would complete with out ice cream. I think that was the highlight.
