Hair Today...

As an infant Hyrum had no hair on top but a ring of hair along the bottom. We called it his "Picardness" (yes, we are trekkies. Though Jared is in denial.)  Our little girl has it too.  I love it, but we need to find a more feminine name for it.  Maybe her "Picardessness"?  Or not. Any suggestions?

Well, here is my version:

NAILED IT!!!!!

Sicky-Sickos

March was a month of sickness in varying degrees.  Emma got a cold. She ended up getting a fever, so into the ER we went. She had RSV and later tested positive for a Staph infection. She was admitted into the hospital, so I stayed in with her.
She ended up getting IV antibiotics every 6 hours for 4 days.

IV is out and she is ready to go home.
Then the stomach flu made the rounds in our house.  Not so much fun. Katie was the hardest hit.  Alicia and I were the only ones who made it out untouched.  But she seems to have inherited my strong immune system.

Experiment in Words

I saw this amazing video on Facebook.  That is an amazing group of Young Men and leaders. I am sure that will make a lasting impression on all those girls. There is probably one or more of them that is suffering from low self-esteem. Can you imagine how it made them feel?
We need more people who build up women, instead of telling them how to act and look. These Young Men showed them where their real worth lies.

Reminiscing

I need to collect out latest pictures to do some more updates. Until them here are some gems from Alicia that I found.

Her Blessing Outfit--Isn't she beautiful

Look at those eyes and dark eyelashes

Love the smile

Just cracks me up--She used to have the cutest curls.

These Are the Moments

Wanted to record some sweet moments this past month.

Love the size comparison
Mandi and Melly came to visit us just after Emma was born.  I don't get see either of them very often and Mandi even less, so it was awesome to spend time together.

After Mandi and Melly left I found this little nugget on my phone. Made my day!!!

Super Sweet FHE

My sweet husband loves to try new recipes. And I must say they all have been successes.  I used to like to cook and bake, but only do occasionally now.  Good thing he does.

For one of our FHE's we made some wonderful no-bake cookies. They were super sweet, but that was good because that meant I wouldn't too many at one time.  They were also great as treats in Annie and Alicia's lunches for school.

The finished product!!!
The kids loved rolling them in the sprinkles and they were really beautiful.
