5 Years

We celebrated our 5th Anniversary this weekend and it was great. Jared took Friday off and surprised me with this on our doorstep. These flowers are similar to the ones from my wedding bouquet. He knows I love them.
We spent the afternoon and evening child-free and it felt so good. Ray and Beate were kind and took care of the girls. Of course we spent so much our away time thinking about and talking about the girls. We even bought them some things. Like these sunglasses.
We just spent our freedom talking, holding hands, shopping and just doing what we wanted when we wanted. We even spontaneously decided to go swimming and had to buy swimsuits and towels. But that just make it more of an adventure. We spent the evening eating chinese in bed, watching Field of Dreams. Jared had never seen it and I have always loved it. It was such a nice anniversary, even if it was a simple one.

Snow Baby

This is what Katie sleeps in at night. Experts say it decreases the risk of SIDS if you don't use blankets for babies in bed, or bumpers around the crib. So these lovely little things were invented. I will never use blankets again for my babies.

Anyway the other day, Katie was trying to get it on herself. This was the end result:

We thought spring was in the air, but then last weekend we got a huge snow storm one night. Almost a foot of snow in one night, and it continued throughout the day.
Alicia wanted to help her dad shovel the snow.

Who Agrees?

This is for all your ladies. I hope it makes you day like it did mine.

Say What?

Gma: Who are you talking to?
Anne: I am not talk to who. I am talking to YOU!

Equivilent Words (How the girls say it=what it really means):
almost got=forgot
by next to=Right next to

Anne learned the song "Follow the Prophet" and was singing it on the way home. This is how it went:
Follow the prophet,
Follow the Prophet,
Follow the prophet
Straa-aa-aange!

Name Remebered

I remembered what Robby's food name was:

If you are confused just in my previous post a couple months ago about our food names.

I Forgot...

I was looking through my pictures when I realized I hadn't put our one Valentine's picture up. The holiday got kind of squished between church business, birthdays and sickness.

Several days after Valentine's we finally got to celebrate it. Jared and I made my favorite food, and I decorated the table. I just love decorating. Ray and Beate joined us for some homemade fettucine alfredo and chocolate mousse cake. I was the only one who had ever had alfredo sauce so I loved introducing it to them, and they loved it. Maybe it will become a Valentine's tradition.
I was going to make a special treat for Jared, but I think it will have to wait for our anniversary. Which is coming up real soon.

I Love to See the Temple

On Saturday we took a day trip to the Temple, because it takes over 2 hours to get there. We didn't have anyone to take the kids for us, Jared took care of them while I went into a session. The last session started before he could get in to one. But we had fun with the girls.
